Last weekend, the maypole team performed at Barton-in-Fabis garden fete. It was absolutely lovely and the children were amazing. Thank you to all the children and our stand ins! We will perform again on sports’ day, which is Wednesday 28th June at 9.15.
To bring the half term to a close, the chess team visited Fernwood Primary School for a tournament. It was a really exciting experience and the children all played very competitive games. We had two wins across the team. Well done to you all!
This half term also saw the boys attend the Rushcliffe Schools’ Football Tournament at St. Peter’s Primary School in Ruddington. As ever, the team were amazing, they performed particularly well. Congratulations to you all! Thank you to Mr. Burton for coaching the team.
Thank you so much to Gotham Historian Kevin Thorpe for a fascinating visit today. Kevin spoke to children from years 1, 2, 3 and 6. We learnt so much and it was amazing to hear first-hand accounts of the changes in Gotham!
On Tuesday, the basketball team travelled across Nottingham and played in a tournament against Burford and Robin Hood Primary Schools. They played incredibly competitive games and were within a whisper of winning. As ever, they made me incredibly proud. Well done to you all!
